Area information

The town of Estella was founded in the 10th century to attend to the influx of the pilgrims of Santiago. Nowadays, the town preserves a large number of the original medieval monuments. Some of the most distinguished monuments include the church of San Pedro de la Rúa, with its Roman cloister, the Palace of the Kings of Navarra, Fray Diego’s house or the Santo Sepulcro.

In the surrounding countryside you can do trekking through the Urbasa National Park or through the Sierra de Lóquiz.

Estella is wine country, and as a visitor you can enjoy a guided visit around one of the local wineries.
